A day at La Quinta Arts Celebration

It is well established that La Quinta is a world renowned golf destination. Our small community hosts a PGA Tournament and we have received the title of world's top golf destination by the likes of the Robb Report for the beautiful courses at the La Quinta Resort however, La Quinta is much more than a sleepy golf community. We also play host to a now bi-annual arts show, the La Quinta Arts Celebration. The festival takes place every November and March. I was lucky enough to attend this past week.

You can purchase tickets ahead of time online (link at the bottom of this post) or in person at the main entrance. We paid $20 per person and found the entrance fee well worth it based on the experience we had. Parking was plentiful and options ranged from self parking, Valet and EV.

Once we bought our tickets we were in and decided to make a quick and important pit stop to the champagne bar located conveniently to the left of the main entrance gate. The planners of this event really thought of every detail. The champagne flutes had a notch on them which made them easy to carry around the festival without worrying they would slip out of your hand, genius!

Five minutes in and I quickly realized that this was no ordinary arts fair. With 10 different categories of art on display ranging from contemporary paintings to sculpture to glass work it's an overwhelming selection of art to choose from.

Not only were there some amazing local artists on display, but as it turns out there were artists from 35 states and 6 different countries. It was fun to just browse through, but also if you're looking to fill some walls in your home, most pieces were for sale.

There were also plenty of budget friendly pieces of art for sale as well. We ended up getting some fun prints from one of the local artists.

As the day went on the sun started to warm us up into the mid 70s. Enough to make our family and friends visiting from the East Coast wish they had worn shorts. We decided we needed to give our eyes and legs a break and so we found ourselves a table at the aptly named Margarita Island, located in the center of the arts fair.

I was impressed by the wide array of food and beverage options available. The idyllic setting and gorgeous weather weren't bad either.

The La Quinta Arts Celebration lives up to its name. It is truly a celebration of art in all of its many forms. If nothing, it's a fun walk in the park. I really appreciated that there was no pressure to purchase anything from any of the vendors I chatted with either. The focus definitely seemed more  on enjoying  the art.

If you want to learn more about the Art Celebration I have attached the link to their website below. If you have any more questions about La Quinta or the greater Palm Springs area  or any and all things real estate please send me a message and myself or a member of the team will be in touch.
